FACULTY:
The Community High School's teaching staff is composed of more than 50 experienced teachers. Special education teachers as well as subject area specialists, many of who hold advanced degrees and multiple certifications, staff classrooms. This staff is complemented by specialists in speech and language therapy, learning disabilities, social, vocational and educational counseling, and remedial reading and math. All teachers understand adolescents who learn differently, as they are trained to see and foster each young person's true abilities. The low student-teacher ratio at Community High School assures the faculty the time to work with students individually. Teachers at Community High School are chosen for their teaching ability, achievement in their particular field and knowledge of the academic, social and emotional needs of our population. They are dedicated to educating learning disabled students and are always available to give extra help or support when needed. They are highly trained professionals committed to helping each young person achieve his or her potential.
